☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe issue contains two stories featuring Margie and her various boyfriends. In the first story, Margie's boyfriend Ace Diamonds takes her on a date to a new restaurant where he brings his pet animals, causing chaos that forces them to leave. Later, a man named Freddie tries to impress Margie by pretending to be a stunt performer, but Ace exposes his act and claims Margie for himself. In the second story, titled "Mambo Madness," Margie's boyfriends Harvey, Tex, and Freddie engage in an Indian wrestling match while dancing the mambo, resulting in destruction, though they ultimately decide to resolve their rivalry and all continue dating Margie together. The third story involves a boyfriend trying to win five dollars by impressing Margie with a false story about fixing up a closet, but he is caught in his deception and exposed as a broom closet rather than an actual room renovation.
When Freddie and Harvey challenge the girls to a rugged hike up Bald Mountain to prove that men still rule, they're convinced their plan is foolproof—but the ladies have other ideas. As the boys' grand scheme unravels into one comedic mishap after another, the girls prove they're more than ready for anything the wilderness throws their way. It's a lighthearted clash of the sexes that turns the tables on male superiority faster than you can say "it's a woman's world."
When Ace Diamond invites Margie to his father's animal shelter opening instead of staying home to listen to Freddie's new records, a spirited three-way tug-of-war ensues—complete with a stray cat that throws all their plans into hilarious chaos. As the afternoon unfolds, Margie finds herself caught between two competing suitors, each trying to prove who deserves her company, with results that neither boy quite anticipated.
When Freddie needs Harvey's help painting fifty flower pots so he can catch a ball game, he leaves a hastily scribbled note—one that Harvey reads with a critical misunderstanding. What follows is a comedy of errors as Harvey's good intentions transform Mr. Albright's car into a psychedelic masterpiece with every color from the garage, and Freddie discovers that loyalty among pals sometimes comes with expensive consequences.
When the girls challenge Freddie and his pals to prove they can master the mambo by the next evening's country club dance, the boys scramble to learn the trendy new steps—with hilarious results when they realize they need a dance partner and come up with an unconventional solution. It's a race against time and dignity as the gang tries to perfect their moves before showtime, only to discover that plans have a way of changing at the last minute.
When Freshman Freddy announces he's got a double date at 12 Helm Street, two jealous classmates see their chance—they trap him in a school broom closet and plan to steal his dates for themselves. What they don't realize is that Freddy's "two girls" are actually much younger than expected, and their scheme quickly turns into comedy chaos when the kids prove to be more than a match for their schemes.
