My Little Margie #22

Margie seeks to improve her mind by visiting the library, but her efforts to find suitable reading material go awry when she encounters a malfunctioning question-and-answer machine that repeatedly strikes her. Later, while attempting to crash a fancy party at a nearby hotel to meet the famous author Madame Silvia Duresse, Margie's antics lead to a series of comedic mishaps involving a police officer and a doorman. The story concludes with Margie narrowly escaping further trouble after accidentally splashing the officer with ketchup.
