My Greatest Adventure #9
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis May–June 1956 issue of My Greatest Adventure delivers a genuinely striking cover by Ruben Moreira: a towering, red-bearded giant dominates a tropical island beach while soldiers parachute from a military aircraft overhead and a ground unit scrambles below, the cover copy declaring "We Fought the Giant of Island X!" and warning that "nothing works on him!" Moreira's linework gives the giant a raw, imposing presence that makes the soldiers look almost helpless by comparison. At a dime a copy, this issue also promises "All New Stories," including the interior tale "I Walked through the Doors of Destiny" — solid mid-1950s DC adventure anthology fare at its most energetic.
