Nora and Irene leave the orphanage and become roommates, but Irene dislikes work. She frames Nora for a theft and Nora is sent to prison. When released, Nora moves to California and is hired by trucking company owner Johnny, and they fall in love. Irene blackmails Nora with threats of revealing her prison record to Johnny, then robs the payroll and blames Nora. However, Johnny proves Irene is the criminal. Nora says she protected Irene because they are sisters.
