Volume 3 of Yoshimurakana's Murciélago delivers the series' signature blend of dark whimsy and unease, with the teal-haired protagonist seated front and center, wearing a knowing grin that feels equal parts charming and unsettling. She's surrounded by an eerie menagerie of blood-spattered stuffed animals — oversized rabbits and plush creatures — alongside scattered weapons and a framed photograph, painting a scene that's playfully sinister in the best possible way.
