Volume 2 of Yoshimurakana's Murciélago keeps the energy high right from the cover, where the pink-haired, green-eyed protagonist grins with wild enthusiasm, hefting what appears to be a massive drill or weapon while surrounded by a chaotic spread of food, a relaxed grey cat, scattered papers with a sketch, and various other odds and ends. It's a playful, slightly unhinged tableau that perfectly captures the manga's blend of action and irreverent humor. Published by Ototo in 2018, this volume is a great next step for anyone already hooked on the series.
