Num futuro próximo, o soldado Luther Manning morre e é transformado num ciborgue chamado Deathlok. Destinado a ser controlado por um computador para obediência total, a personalidade de Manning ressurge, levando-o a desobedecer. Como mercenário, Deathlok tenta ganhar dinheiro para transferir a sua mente para um corpo humano. Ao aceitar um trabalho, é traído por Biggs, controlado por Ryker.
