Ms. Marvel #13
In "The Deal Part 1," Ms. Marvel is pulled into a high-stakes investigation when AIM detonates a DNA bomb, leading to a tense confrontation with Iron Man over the fallout of the Civil War. Though she punches him out, Tony still offers her a pivotal role—leading the new Mighty Avengers—on the condition she also heads a secret SHIELD taskforce. As Carol settles into her new command aboard a mini-helicarrier for Operation Lightning Storm, Arachne appears at Arana’s workplace, demanding answers about Carol’s missing daughter. Written by Brian Reed and illustrated by Aaron Lopresti, with inks by Matt Ryan, colors by Chris Sotomayor, and letters by Dave Sharpe, the cover by Greg Horn captures the moment’s intensity.
