MPH #4

Duncan Fegredo's cover for issue four of Mark Millar's MPH tells you everything you need to know about the tension at this series' core: a lone figure in green — hat, jacket, and all — stands surrounded on all sides by a ring of armed men rendered in cool blue, guns drawn and closing in. The stark two-tone palette makes the outnumbered central character pop with quiet defiance, and the composition pulls you right into the standoff alongside a figure in the foreground whose back faces us. It's a gripping visual setup from a creative team clearly having a great time putting their characters through the wringer.
