Movie Love #4

An anthology issue featuring two stories: "The Torch," starring Paulette Goddard, and "Black Jack," starring George Sanders. In "Black Jack," a woman named Ann finds a lost dog and takes it home, later discovering through a magazine interview that the dog belonged to a man named James Curtis who was aboard a yacht called the Black Jack. The story follows Ann's involvement with Curtis and other characters aboard the yacht, involving schemes and romantic entanglements. A lawyer from Dalton, Ohio, and a horse doctor named Mike Alexander become caught up in Curtis's plan to raise money for a tropical disease research lab by introducing investors to a wealthy widow named Mrs. Williams.
