Three dangerous figures command this "Blood Gods Part 3" cover: a sunglasses-wearing man seated coolly in an ornate armchair flanked by two armed operatives — one wielding a combat knife, the other casually blowing a bubble while leveling a pistol — all set against a bullet-riddled, war-torn backdrop. Stephen Segovia's cover pencils and inks give the trio a tense, composed energy, like soldiers very much in control of a situation that's clearly gotten messy around them. Shawn Kittelsen and Daniel Sampere continue the Mortal Kombat X comic series with this mature-rated August 2015 installment, promising the kind of gritty, hard-edged action the franchise is known for.
