DC's Mortal Kombat X comic delivers a brutal chapter four of "Blood Ties" with this striking cover by Ivan Reis — a heavily wounded, cybernetically-enhanced warrior dominates the image, his mechanical eye crackling with red energy as he clutches a glowing orb and bleeds freely beneath a fiery red sky, skulls scattered at his feet. The raw physicality on display is a fitting preview for Shawn Kittelsen's story, brought to life inside by Daniel Sampere, Juan Albarran, and Kyle Ritter. If this 2015 series has proven anything, it's that Mortal Kombat's world of brutal fighters translates remarkably well to the comics page.
