Henry Boltinoff's cover for this December 1946 DC anthology captures the comedy perfectly: the "zany twins" Dover and Clover are hot on the heels of a rotund, top-hatted suspect clutching a briefcase stuffed with cash, while a small dog scampers along for the ride and a "Mexico — One Way" note dangles from the fleeing man's pocket. The hapless fellow pleads for the boys to stop using their magnifying glass in the sunlight, which tells you everything about the cheerful, good-natured chaos inside. More Fun Comics #117 is a bright slice of mid-1940s humor comics at their most charming.
