Morbius: The Living Vampire #30
In "New Blood," Morbius—now Dr. Michaels—grapples with the unexpected freedom of a bloodless existence, using his vampiric powers without the need to feed. When Lena sees a woman seized by Celesian diplomats, she turns to Michaels for help, unaware of the growing strain his condition may be under. During a critical surgery, Michaels collapses, drenched in blood, leaving his control—and his humanity—under question. Written by Lisa Trusiani and illustrated by Craig Gilmore, with inks by Mike Witherby, colors by John Kalisz, and letters by Janice Chiang, the cover by Craig Gilmore and Malcolm Jones III captures the tension of a man teetering between salvation and damnation.
