Moonshine #3
Eduardo Risso's stark, two-tone cover for this third issue says everything you need to know about the tone of Brian Azzarello's Prohibition-era horror series: a wild-haired figure drenched head-to-toe in dark crimson, gleaming yellow eyes peering through the dripping red, and a heavy cleaver clutched in one raised hand. The image is all shadow and threat, rendered in a bold black-and-rust palette that feels like something scraped off a backwoods nightmare. Moonshine is already proving itself one of Image Comics' most atmospheric offerings of 2016.
