Moon Knight #5
The cover of this fifth and final chapter of "Welcome to New Egypt" is a striking study in duality — Moon Knight's white-masked face looms large against a stark background while a second, bestial visage peers through a gap in the mask, its single eye and bared teeth hinting at something raw and primal underneath. Greg Smallwood's spare, almost clinical linework makes that contrast between the pristine exterior and the unsettling face beneath all the more arresting. With Jeff Lemire leading a remarkably deep creative bench that includes Francesco Francavilla, James Stokoe, and Wilfredo Torres, this 2016 arc closer promises a bold, multi-voiced look at one of Marvel's most psychologically complex heroes.
