Alex Maleev's cover for this 2012 finale issue is quietly arresting: a massive fist grips a crescent blade, and reflected in its curved surface is Moon Knight himself, white-clad and surging forward against a full moon. The composition turns a simple weapon into a mirror of the hero's world, delivering a moody, contemplative image that feels entirely at home in the Bendis–Maleev–Hollingsworth run's noir-tinged aesthetic. A fittingly atmospheric close to their collaboration on Marvel's most enigmatic vigilante.
