The third volume of Dupuis' cheerful teen comedy series Mooie Navels arrives with a cover that perfectly sets the playful tone — a wide-eyed blonde girl is comically wrapped head-to-toe in rope, held taut by two grinning friends on either side: a red-haired girl in a blue top and a brunette in a green cap. The subtitle "Vriendin aan het lijntje" ("Friend on a leash") makes the mischievous setup immediately clear, and Delaf's bright, expressive cartooning keeps the whole scene feeling more delightfully chaotic than mean-spirited.
