Monte Hale Western #55

This issue contains two stories: the main Monte Hale story "Monte Hale Meets the Montana Marauders," in which Hale confronts outlaw bandits planning a blackfoot raid and dynamite trap in a canyon; and "Into the Pit," a Gray Hawk story by Dick Kraus about two Indian youths who set a deer trap to secure food for their tribe, only to discover the trap will catch Monte Hale instead, leading to a mountain rescue sequence where Hale must climb a freezing mountain face while carrying a serum-filled balloon that was lost in a previous balloon crash. An extra feature with Gabby Hayes is also promised on the cover.
