"He Gambled with Satan and Lost" depicts a green monster controlled by the hypnotic power of a man named Hinsdale, who uses the creature to steal money and abduct a woman named Sylvia; the monster's mind proves capable of rebellion, and the house burns down in the ensuing chaos. "Traitor's House" tells of an ancient, decaying mansion that has stood for two centuries, now inhabited only by a bitter old man who laments his isolation; the story involves a mysterious stone and a magnetic disturbance discovered on the waterfront connected to the house's dark history.
A boy's nightmare about his stepmother becomes terrifyingly real when Detective Jim Brady tries to help calm young Charles Fox, Jr. by confronting the very mirror that haunted his dreams. As Brady and the boy stand before the strange theatrical keepsake, something far more sinister than a child's jealous imagination begins to emerge from the glass—and the detective finds himself drawn into a darkness he may not survive.
A desolate mansion haunted by centuries of treachery becomes the unwilling hideout for Cold War spies who've kidnapped atomic scientist John B. Fletcher, forcing the house itself to choose between its shameful legacy and the one innocent soul who calls it home. When Willie the Weeper—a simple half-wit who alone befriends the crumbling structure—threatens to expose the villains' plan, the spirits trapped within the house's walls must decide whether to aid their only living friend or remain silent accomplices to evil. "Traitor's House" explores whether a building cursed by betrayal can find redemption through an act of mercy.
In "The Philosopher's Stone," a centuries-old count returns from the shadows, drawn by the legendary artifact that grants immortality. When Dr. Drew stands in his path, a clash of science and sorcery unfolds—leaving the fate of the stone, and the world, hanging in the balance.
