About this Collection

Molly Danger Book 1 collects the opening story arc of the series, introducing a young super-powered girl who has been raised as a weapon against an alien threat. Created by Jamal Igle, this Action Lab Comics volume follows Molly as she navigates the challenges of being a hero while dealing with the secrets of her origin and the organization that controls her.

Molly Danger #1 introduces a strikingly unique superhero dynamic: a centuries-old alien with godlike power disguised as a child, overseen by a secretive agency and piloted by a reluctant human, Briggs. Written and illustrated by Jamal Igle, with cover art by Igle himself, the story begins with Briggs navigating the surreal reality of flying a hero whose presence could destroy the world if she ever lost control. As Molly secretly forms a bond with Briggs and his family, a shadowy figure known only as Father escapes confinement—setting the stage for a conflict that could unravel everything.

Briggs begins working as a helicopter pilot for the agency that oversees Molly Danger, a superpowerful alien hero. Though Molly looks like a little girl, she is over 30 years old. The agency insists that she is so powerful that she would inadvertently be dangerous to ordinary people, but she longs for human contact and begins a clandestine friendship with Briggs and his family. A mysterious figure called Father breaks the villains out of confinement and leads them away.
