"Blackhawk Crushes Jaromir the Monocled Madman" follows the Blackhawk team as they pursue enemy agents and a woman in a red coat who has stolen government secrets, leading to a chase and confrontation where the female agent is revealed to be seeking Will Bragg, a man from her past in Argentina. A separate comedic story features characters named Pigeon, Dean, Ezra, and Myrna on romantic misadventures involving a botched date and a car crash, with Myrna ultimately planning to play sweet music with someone named Dean.
At an International Carnival Ball, the fortune teller Madame Zoleska recognizes the dangerous spy Col. Jaromir and alerts Blackhawk to his presence—along with a sinister plot involving explosives hidden throughout the venue. As Jaromir races to trigger his bomb and eliminate a visiting envoy, Blackhawk must locate the device and stop the international terrorist before the entire party is destroyed.
When Ezra agrees to a Saturday night date with Myrna but can't quite remember what's supposed to make it so special, his scramble to get properly dressed becomes more complicated—especially with the persistent Dean Dilsbury circling in a suit and tie. This 1949 humor story plays the misunderstanding for all it's worth as words, promises, and crossed signals collide in a swirl of teen romance and comic timing.
