Issue four of Tom King and Mitch Gerads' twelve-part series arrives with a striking Nick Derington cover that fills the frame with a massively armored figure — gold helmet, red-caped blue armor, and a heavy weapon gripped in gloved hands — staring the reader down with calm, unnerving intensity. The red heart-shaped emblem at the helmet's center and the close, almost confrontational composition make this one of the most visually commanding covers of early 2018. Entertainment Weekly's blurb calling it "one of the most mind-bending superhero comics currently on stands" is right there on the cover, and issues like this one make it easy to understand why.
