Issue three of Tom King and Mitch Gerads' twelve-part series delivers a quietly striking cover by Nick Derington: Scott Free, clad in his red and blue costume, holds his winged helmet before him with both gloved hands, his bearded face cropped just above the jaw — a portrait of a man contemplating his own identity. The gold-trimmed mask with its distinctive red jewel feels less like a trophy than a burden being carefully weighed.
