The second chapter of Mister George drops us straight into the tension, with Labiano's cover showing two young figures — a dark-haired man and a red-headed companion — rushing urgently through a grimy urban alleyway strewn with overturned trash cans, while two shadowy figures loom at the far end of the passage. The warm amber tones and tightly composed street scene capture the series' gritty, thriller atmosphere perfectly. With Rodolphe and Serge Le Tendre co-writing and Labiano handling both pencils and inks, this 2004 Le Lombard release looks like a confident, stylish continuation of whatever trouble these two are already deep into.
