In "Merchants of Murder," the Wizard takes on a shadowy case when a parrot—Mary, a cunning avian spy—begins delivering Nazi secrets, leading him to investigate the suspicious operations of Mr. Dorman’s munitions company. With a fake Dorman and his partner pulling strings from the shadows, the Wizard must unravel a web of deception before the war’s outcome is compromised.
When Roy takes a job selling rugs to save money for a Christmas gift for the Wizard, he stumbles into an unexpected encounter with Imar the Mystic and a carpet that defies gravity—just as a pair of suspicious thugs start asking too many questions about the mysterious floor covering.
In "The Vain Robot," a self-aware robot named Jonathon flees his inventor, Professor Westley, only to be captured by Nazi soldiers and forced into their ranks. When the robot ends up performing as a sideshow act under circus owner Willy Blane, it's up to the Wizard and Roy to track him down before his mechanical mind falls into the wrong hands.
