“Bodies”

In "Bodies," Mike Moran faces a terrifying attack from Miracledog, a creature bound by a strange magic word he suddenly recalls—“Steppenwolf.” With that word, he reverts the beast back to its true form, Pluto, before brutally ending it with a rock. As the hour-long transformation window nears its end, Mike’s fate hangs in the balance, setting the stage for his inevitable return as Miracleman. Written by The Original Writer and illustrated by Chuck Austen, Michael Kelleher, and Kellustration, with inks by Austen, colors by Steve Oliff, and letters by Joe Caramagna, the issue’s cover by John Romita Jr. captures the moment’s chilling intensity.
