Bob Fingerman's Minimum Wage: So Many Bad Decisions Part 4 delivers one of the more surreal covers you'll find on a slice-of-life series — a spiky-haired, bespectacled young man stands slack-jawed on a skull-littered hellscape alongside a loping hound, a scantily clad woman, two pudgy imps, and a massive, drooling toad-like monster looming out of dark clouds above them all. The scene is equal parts underground cartoon grotesquery and absurdist nightmare, which feels perfectly in tune with the series' knack for finding the comedic horror in everyday existence. If 2015 Image was putting out anything wilder-looking at $3.99, it's hard to imagine what it was.
