Millie the Model Comics #92

Dan DeCarlo's cover for this 1959 Marvel humor gem says it all: Millie strikes a breezy, glamorous pose in a fitted red dress and blue heels, handbag in hand, while a disgruntled older woman in blue mutters "What's she got that I haven't?!" as two grinning men behind her supply the punchline — "Nothing! But on her, it fits!" The cover promises Part Two of "How Millie Became a Model," following our blonde bombshell as she invades New York, written by Stan Lee with DeCarlo's wonderfully expressive linework throughout. Lighthearted, sharp, and full of personality, this is exactly the kind of "Fun! and Fashion!" that made Millie a genuine bright spot in comics of her era.
