Millie the Model Comics #32

Dan DeCarlo's cover for this January 1952 Atlas Comics issue says it all — Millie strolls confidently in her striped top and yellow shorts, handbag in hand, while two smitten fellows in a small car have crashed straight into a tree, clearly too distracted to keep their eyes on the road. The double entendre gag ("Didn't you see the curves?" / "I'll say I did!") is delivered with breezy charm, capturing exactly the lighthearted humor that made Millie the Model such a delight for readers of the era.
