“Who Spooked the Juke Box?”

This January 1970 Marvel charmer finds Millie — stylishly turned out in her red coat and mod accessories — watching with amusement as a very nervous dentist tends to a patient who has apparently brought along a large, snarling black dog to the appointment. Stan Goldberg and John Verpoorten deliver a wonderfully expressive cover, with the dentist's rattled "Carefully… very carefully!" making the whole scenario instantly relatable and genuinely funny. It's the kind of lighthearted, character-driven humor that made Millie the Model a Marvel staple well into the 1970s.
