# The Mystery of the Blue Madonna Detective Mike Barnett is followed by a green convertible while investigating, spotting the car at the railroad yards where he eludes his pursuers by climbing a metal truss. A newspaper headline reveals that silk gang leader Klaxon and his "Blue Nose" gang have been offering a thousand-dollar reward, prompting Barnett to infiltrate the Firefly nightclub where Klaxon's men are known to gather. After obtaining chloroform from a doctor, Barnett uses it to knock out the gang members and retrieves a handkerchief with a phone number, which he uses to contact the police and lead them to a group of unconscious gang members for the promised reward.
