Micronauts #9

A glowing, energy-wreathed figure blazes at the center of Pollard's cover for this June 1985 installment of The Micronauts: The New Voyages, ringed by spiraling white energy bands while flames erupt above — the tagline "This Power Awakened!" says everything about the scale of what's coming. Surrounding this luminous being, members of the Micronauts team react with alarm on either side, a green-skinned figure and armored teammates visible in the chaos. Peter B. Gillis and Kelley Jones are on interior duties for "The Dreaming Star!", promising that the series' blend of cosmic scale and ensemble adventure is very much alive and well.
