The Micronauts: The New Voyages charges into its fourth issue with a cover by Keith Pollard that crackles with microscale mayhem — tiny armored figures and spacecraft tumble through a burst of radiating energy beams and splashing pink matter, all dwarfed by the looming, grimacing face of a full-sized human looking down on the chaos. The title "Slow Death on the Proving Ground!" hints at high stakes for these miniature adventurers caught in what looks like a very dangerous environment indeed. Peter B. Gillis and Kelley Jones helm the interior, making this a compelling January 1985 entry in Marvel's ambitious second run with the Micronauts.
