Ted McKeever closes out Meta4 with a cover that is as spare and unsettling as anything in the series: two precise architectural blueprints of coffins, rendered on aged corrugated cardboard and stamped with a "Proving Ground Box Certificate" that dryly catalogues the dimensions of the dead. It's a quietly brilliant design — clinical draftsmanship in service of something deeply strange — perfectly in keeping with a series whose final chapter is titled "The Perpetual Evolution of the Self." McKeever's singular vision is on full display here, turning mundane technical drawing into a meditation on mortality and meaning.
