Men of Mystery Comics #61
In "Death!", the haunting legacy of a 17th-century lord returns to plague the present, as the current heir to Loncreagh Castle finds himself targeted in a series of deadly attempts—despite having inherited his title from the King, not blood. With the help of Ibis and the power of the Ibistick, a spectral confrontation reveals the truth: only a true Loncreagh can claim the castle’s fate. Kurt Schaffenberger handles both art and inks for the story, while Dan Barry delivers the cover.

In 1676, a Lord Loncreagh was killed defending his castle and swearing on his deathbed that no one but a true Loncreagh would ever own his castle. Now, in 1946, the current Lord Loncreagh is re-building the castle, but faces mysterious attempts to kill him. The answer is discovered by Ibis when he discovers that the current owner is not a true Loncreagh, but received his nobility from the King. Using the Ibistick, the Prince materializes the true Lord Loncreagh for a final confrontation.
