The City of Peace, a domed habitat powered by atomic plants, thrives on minimal labor—just one hour of work per day—while citizens spend their time reading on the solar deck and living well into their hundreds thanks to advanced medicine. Yet, despite the utopian surface, Atoma reveals that only soldiers enjoy true freedom, and she views the city’s Governor as a tyrant no less oppressive than Hitler from Dusty’s era.
