Megaton #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMegaton #8 brings plenty of tension to this 1987 independent title, with cover art by Gary Thomas Washington depicting the red-and-yellow-suited hero Megaton standing his ground at what appears to be a columned entrance, fending off a chaotic press mob of reporters and police officers pressing in from all sides. The energy of the scene — cameras, nightsticks, and outstretched hands jostling for position — makes it clear that being a superhero isn't always about fighting super-villains. With Gary Carlson scripting "The Cure" inside, this is a solid slice of mid-1980s independent comics doing what they did best: putting real dramatic pressure on their characters.
