Mega Man #53

Issue #53 of Archie's Mega Man series serves up a cover bursting with classic video game energy — the Blue Bomber leaps through a space-tinged sky surrounded by a whirlwind of weapons: oversized bombs, star-shaped shurikens, and rocket-like projectiles all swirling around him with crackling electricity at his feet. It's a cheerful, action-packed snapshot of Mega Man at his most resourceful, rendered in clean, bright linework by cover artist Jason Piperberg. Flynn, Jampole, and Martin round out the creative team on this 2015 Archie/Capcom collaboration that continues to make the case for the little blue robot as one of comics' most fun ongoing adventures.
