Studios issue sets a quietly tense mood — a uniformed man sits crouched and weary inside what appears to be the cavernous, fleshy interior of an alien creature, its single red eye glowing ominously behind him, scattered cans and a pilot's helmet resting at his feet. The contrast between his calm, steely expression and the unsettling organic surroundings gives the image a real sense of uneasy stillness. Greg Pak's Mech Cadet Yu continues to prove that its human drama is just as compelling as its giant-robot action.
