Marguerite Bennett, Alex Sanchez, and colorist Esther Sanz bring James Patterson's wing-kid Maximum Ride to Marvel in this 2015 series opener. Stephanie Hans's cover is a quietly stunning piece — a young woman with flowing pink-and-gold hair turns her face in profile as enormous teal-and-cream feathered wings unfurl dramatically behind her, the whole image radiating both beauty and restless motion. It's a strong first impression for a story about a girl who is anything but ordinary.
