Studios' Maw arrives with a hauntingly atmospheric cover — a massive pale skull looms from a murky deep-sea gloom, flanked by anglerfish and crawling with blue crabs that spill across its broken jaw. It's a quietly unsettling image, and Ariela Kristantina renders the ocean's strange, indifferent menace with real artistry. Writer Jude Ellison S. Doyle's series has been one of 2022's most compelling horror offerings, and this final-issue lead-up promises the dread is far from finished.
