This October 1947 Fawcett anthology pits Captain Marvel Jr. — in his signature blue and gold costume, cape streaming — against a truly unsettling threat: a towering, red-clad villain whose enormous bespectacled head dominates the cover, his feet crackling with magnetic energy as he looms over the young hero. Cover artist Bud Thompson delivers a wonderfully off-kilter composition that sells the menace of "The Human Magnet" with striking visual wit. Rounding out the lineup are Bulletman, Nyoka, and Radar, making this a packed issue from one of Fawcett's most entertaining anthologies.
