This November 1946 Fawcett publication puts Captain Marvel Jr. front and center alongside a fantastical stone fountain — a grotesque creature-headed spout unleashing a torrent of water — while small children play in the basin below and a bespectacled young man looks on with delight. The cover story, "The Fountain of Age," promises exactly the kind of imaginative, high-concept adventure that made Fawcett's lineup so appealing in the postwar years. Bud Thompson's clean linework and that bold yellow background make this one of the more visually charming entries in the run, rounded out by backup features starring Radar, Nyoka, and Bulletman.
