This anthology issue contains two stories: "The Shiny Bones," a Native American tale in which Running Bear, a proud Cree warrior, loses all his possessions gambling with Strong Iron and must wager his family's treasure—a cup of polished bones—in a final game of chance to restore his honor; and "Wild Bill Hickok," in which the famous gunslinger defeats a challenger named Kelly in a shooting contest and encounters a woman named Jack Marshall who credits him with saving her peaceful town from danger.
