Medu uses his petrifying powers on Shadow Lady and turns her to stone. As she falls and shatters into a pile of rubble, De-Mo mourns the loss of his best friend. Medu is so intrigued by the bond between this little demon and a human girl that he restores all of the stone girls, including Shadow Girl and Spark Girl, back into flesh. Klein begs Medu to give him back a portion of his demonic power but the arch-demon refuses and crushes him. As Medu disappears, Bright shows up and demands to know why Shadow Lady has killed prominent businessman, Klein.
