Mary Shelley Monster Hunter #5
In Mary Shelley Monster Hunter #5, Mary and her companions confront the horrifying truth about Adam’s transformation of Imogen—only to face a desperate escape that ends in flames. Back in England, Mary struggles to tell the real story of their ordeal, but her publisher demands a fictionalized version. As she and Percy prepare for their wedding, the past catches up with them when Adam reappears, murdering Fanny and making it clear that the nightmare is far from over. Written by Olivia Cuartero-Briggs and Adam Glass, with bold, atmospheric art by Hayden Sherman (pencils, inks, and colors), and lettered by Sal Cipriano, this issue’s cover by Sherman captures the chilling tension of Mary’s final confrontation.

Mary and her friends have found Adam only to discover that he has killed Imogen and revived her as a creature like himself. Percy shoots Adam and they set the building aflame. Returning to England, Mary writes the true story of her recent past as a warning about scientific overreach, but her publisher refuses to accept it unless she revises it to be a fictional narrative. Some time later, as guests celebrate Mary and Percy's wedding, Mary finds that Adam has followed them and has murdered Fanny, threatening further death and destruction.
