Following Adam's murderous attack, Victoria and Imogen claim that they have destroyed the monster. Mary finally tells her friends what she has really been doing for the past weeks. When they are alone, Percy expresses his displeasure at her subterfuge but also reveals that he has been having visions of the monster and doesn't believe it is dead. Victoria finally admits that Adam escaped, just before Adam breaks in and abducts Imogen. Mary convinces her friends that they should hunt down Adam with the help of Percy's visions.
