Marvels universum #4/1990
In *Marvels universum #4/1990*, Bruce Banner assembles the New Hulkbusters from a roster of scientists and adventurers, using Gamma Base as their command center in a mission to capture and destroy the Hulk—now separate from Banner. As Bruce finally proposes to Betty, she agrees after a moment’s pause, but the fragile peace shatters when Doc Samson crashes their training session with a Hulk-robot, sparking chaos that ends in the death of team member Carolyn Parmenter. Tensions explode between Samson and Rock LaRoquette, who vows revenge, setting the stage for deeper conflict.
In "Bröllops-besvär," Rick Jones arrives at Bruce and Betty's wedding, their joy shadowed by memories of how they first met—moments of fear, loss, and quiet connection. As the ceremony begins, Thunderbolt Ross appears, determined to stop the union, forcing Betty to confront her father’s long-standing hatred. With tension thick and past wounds reopening, the day hangs in the balance.
In "En gång Hulk, alltid Hulk!", Hulk och Banner existera as one being, bound together by survival after their fusion. Trapped at Gamma Base and subjected to forced transformations, the duo struggles to find a way out—until Hulk breaks free, and Banner attempts to reclaim his humanity by manifesting human features on Hulk’s invulnerable form. As SHIELD agents push them toward a nutrient bath believed to cure Banner, the situation spirals when Thunderbolt Ross sabotages the plan and Rock Jones is pulled in with Hulk. The creature regresses into a primal, gray form—then, unexpectedly, becomes human.
In the tense aftermath of Carolyn Parmenter’s burial, grief and suspicion simmer as LaRoquette blames Doc Samson and Banner for her death. With the malevolent Zzzax imprisoned at Gamma Base and Banner under watch by Samson and SHIELD, a sudden breakout sends SHIELD in pursuit—only to find Banner in tattered clothes, seemingly transformed. But when a new, unknown Hulk appears and steals Banner away, the real threat may not be the old rage, but something far more unexpected.
