In Marvel Zombies Return #3 (2018), the zombie-infected Wolverine from another universe is flung into Earth-Z, where he attacks Kitty Pryde—only for the zombie version of Spider-Man to intervene. As the web-slinger grapples with the insatiable Hunger, he seeks a way to control it, needing blood from Earth-Z’s own Wolverine to complete his plan. The native Wolverine arrives just in time to destroy the invading zombie threat and all it has turned, leaving the surviving Spider-Man with a new mission: to help other infected find a way to resist the Hunger. Written by Jonathan Maberry and illustrated by Jason Shawn Alexander, with colors by June Chung and letters by Simon Bowland, the cover by Arthur Suydam captures the grim intensity of the moment.

Wolverine del Universo Zombie es transportado a Tierra-Z dos años después de los eventos del número anterior. Ataca a Kitty Pryde, pero Spider-Man del Universo Zombie aparece para rescatarla. Spidey continúa tratando de encontrar una forma de controlar El Hambre y necesita sangre del Wolverine de Tierra-Z para finalizarla. Wolverine de Tierra-Z aparece y logra destruir al Wolverine del Universo Zombie y a todos los que ha convertido en zombies.
